Coastal Tours Sitka offers single and multi-day tours for whale watching, wildlife viewing, photography and marine transport. With options for cruise ship passengers, independent travelers and locals alike, cts has something for everyone.
Day TOUR - WHALE WATCHING & WILDLIFE Viewing
Day tours are offered as either 2.5 or 5 hour tours. Both tours offer guests the chance to see whales, Alaskan wildlife and marine life and spectacular vistas.
The 5 hour tour gives guests more time aboard and allows us to go further from the crowds and spend more time in spots when we find good whale or wildlife activity.
Soft drinks and light snacks are provided on both tours.
Rates:
$200/person for 2.5 hours
$400/person for 5 hours
Photography Tour - Whales, Wildlife & Bubblenet Feeding
Photography tours are fully customizable, single or multi-day tours. Photographic opportunities include humpback whales, orcas, sea otters, Stellar sea lions, sea birds, eagles, brown bears and more - all against the backdrop of the breathtaking beauty of Southeast Alaska.
Whale watching and wildlife viewing are at their peak in March and April when the herring return to spawn. During this time, photographers can capture the iconic bubblenet feeding practices by humpback whales.
Soft drinks and light snacks are provided daily.
Please note: Tours return to town each night, so in-town accommodations are needed.

Marine Transportation - For locals & Travelers
The M/V Goleta is capable of long range, rough water marine transits.
This service offering is perfect for individuals or small groups looking for a water taxi to get them out to remote cabins or islands. Our vessel can also serve as an expedition base camp for recreational pursuits or to transport building materials and other supplies to surrounding islands and remote southeast Alaska communities.
